This weekend, we’re waving goodbye to the last of Mobile Tiki Week celebrations as we close out the festivities with one final round of tropical drinks and events. Check out a list we put together of 14 fun ways to spend your time around the Mobile Bay area.

Things to do Friday, Aug. 21:
Disney’s “Frozen: The Broadway Musical” @ Joe Jefferson Playhouse
Love is an open door, and the Joe Jefferson Playhouse’s doors have been open since 1949 — making it Alabama’s oldest continually running community theater. Secure a spot at their 305-seat venue this weekend for their last showing of Disney’s “Frozen: The Broadway Musical.”
Pro-tip: Parking for the theater is available at the Murphy High School parking lots and on the theater side of S Carlen (please be mindful not to block any of their neighbors’ driveways). Get to the theater early to allot for extra time to park and walk to the theater.

Mobile Tiki Week events
Mobile Tiki Week is a city-wide, week long event where local businesses offer tropical-themed beverages, food and events; a portion of proceeds go to benefit the Feeding the Gulf Coast charity.
This year’s Tiki Week is the largest yet, with 43 participating venues! You can find a list of participating locations and how it started here.
Sheepshead Eats Pop-Up
Sheepshead Eats will have a tiki pop-up at Braided River before heading to the Brickyard! Try their special Tiki Week offering: a crispy, plump pork and shrimp egg roll served with fresh green drizzled w/ spam croutons and a zesty ginger-soy vinaigrette.
