Grab your tropical attire and make your way to Downtown Mobile. Tiki Week has begun!

This year’s line-up will be the largest yet with 43 participating venues offering special tropical-themed cocktails, beers, food, coffee drinks and events.

Roy Clark, The Haberdasher’s head bartender, first began his obsession with tiki cocktails in 2013. What began as a single tiki night at the local Mobile haunt quickly blossomed into a week-long, city-wide event.

As an added bonus, a portion of Tiki Week purchases will be going to a great cause: Feeding the Gulf Coast, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting hunger in the region. Last year, participating venues raised $4,952 for the charity — providing nearly 25,000 meals to those in need.

At a city council meeting last week, Mobile Mayor Spiro Cheriogotis officially proclaimed August 17-22, 2026, as Mobile Tiki Week.

“Now, therefore, I, Spiro N. Cheriogotis, the 109th Mayor of the City of Mobile, do hereby proclaim August 17th through 22nd, 2026, as Mobile Tiki Week, and encourage all residents to dress in their finest tropical outfits and enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of tiki in Downtown Mobile!”

At 7:30PM on Thursday, Aug. 20, the Crescent Theater will be hosting a showing of “The Donn of Tiki,” a documentary about Donn Beach, who is widely regarded as the founding father of the global tiki bar and restaurant culture. Following the screening will be a Q&A with the filmmakers.

The event will be 18 and up only, and tickets are $23.95 per person (available for purchase on their website here).

You can also unlock prizes, like a postcard or sticker pack, by “checking in” at participating locations. Once you sign up using the instructions on Visit Mobile’s website here, you can answer a quiz question at each location to earn points for prizes.
