Shake Shack + more are coming to Tanger Outlets Foley

Shake Shack is headed to Tanger Outlets Foley, and it’s just the first bite of a much bigger glow-up happening at the coastal Alabama shopping center.

Tanger, which owns and operates the 500,000-square-foot center in Baldwin County, announced the addition as part of a full-scale renovation already underway. The project aims to modernize the shopping experience while keeping the laid-back, coastal vibe locals and visitors know and love.

Shake Shack to open first Gulf South location at Tanger Foley

Shake Shack currently has just one other Alabama location at The Summit in Birmingham — with another on its way to Alabaster — so this marks the brand’s first foray into the Gulf Coast market.

Expect the chain’s signature 100% Angus beef burgers, crinkle-cut fries and frozen custard to headline the new food lineup at Tanger Foley.

Tanger Outlets Foley renovation adds 20,000 square feet of dining space

Tanger is carving out roughly 20,000 square feet of dedicated food and beverage space, with room for up to eight new dining concepts total.

The redesign includes several features built to turn a quick shopping trip into a full day-to-night hangout:

• Expansive patios
• Walkable dining zones
• Gathering spaces

Hugo Gilbert, Tanger’s senior director of leasing for restaurants and entertainment, added that the center is looking to bring in “additional standout national, regional and local dining options” that complement the retail mix and give the community a true social destination.

More restaurants coming to Tanger Outlets Foley in Baldwin County

Construction on the renovation kicked off earlier this year, and Tanger says it’s actively courting more restaurant operators to fill out the new dining district.

The center already houses nearly 100 stores and eateries, including:

• Nike
• Crocs
• TJ Maxx
• J.Crew
• Aerie
