As one of the highest paid CEOs, Cook served as Apple’s CEO since 2011, when he took over from founder Steve Jobs.

But, before he was a CEO, he was a trombone player for Robertsdale High School’s band.

Having been born in Mobile + raised in Robertsdale, Cook made sure he gave back to hometown high school — in a big way. In 2022, Cook donated $100K to the Robertsdale High School band so they could purchase new instruments.

After graduating from Robertsdale High, he moved on to Auburn University. He received his industrial engineering degree from Auburn in 1982 before getting his MBA from Duke University in 1988.

As Cook moves on with this new role in September, Mobile Bay locals are sure to be tuning in to what he does next.
