Red Clay Strays to headline Regions Arena’s March 2027 grand opening

The Red Clays are returning home to Mobile and headlining the grand opening of Regions Arena on Friday, March 26, 2027. Due to popular demand, the multiple award-winning, 3-time Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) Platinum-Certified band will celebrate the long-awaited opening of the new Gulf Coast venue.
St. Paul & The Broken Bones, a beloved Birmingham-based soul-rock band, will be supporting the March performance.

When we asked our Mobile Bay Now Facebook followers in July who they’d like to see at Regions Arena. Of the 150 responses we received, a good majority mentioned the Red Clay Strays.
Mobilians aren’t the only ones excited for the rock-country band’s return to the coast. It seems the band has missed home as well.
“We are looking forward to playing a hometown show again! We’ve been gone way too long!”

The Red Clay Strays will also be celebrating the success of their acclaimed third studio album, “Grateful.”
The March 26 show will kick off the arena’s future as Mobile’s premiere entertainment venue. Although the arena was originally expected to open Jan. 15, 2027, more than 100 rain days and two named storms moved the anticipated completion date to spring 2027, according to Mobile Mayor Spiro Cheriogotis.
