OPENING SOON: New Cypress Creek Golf Course to be unveiled Wednesday, Sept. 23

A new public 18-hole course in Mobile, Cypress Creek Golf Course, will be soft-launched to the community on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026 at 10AM. The unveiling of the course marks an expansion of public recreation and golf opportunities for Mobilians, as well as support for local youth golf.

Here’s a quick run-down:

The general public is invited to the opening ceremony, which will feature remarks from city officials followed by tours of the course by golf cart. The course will be open for limited advance-reservation play while allowing the newly established turf more time to mature before expanding operations.

Visitors can park at 3700 Saint Andrews Lane North, from which they can be shuttled to the driving range building.

The new course, which was built from the ground up on the site of the former Linksman Golf Course, will feature:

• Golf practice area for local middle- and high-school golf teams
• Driving range
  • Cost: $8 small basket; $12 large basket
• Tennis and pickleball courts
• Green spaces
• Waterfront picnic area with a boardwalk

As the new course continues to mature, limited tee times will be available for foursomes only beginning Friday, Sept. 18. To reserve a spot, you can call 251-753-9540.

After Friday, Sept. 25, the limited play schedule will be Fridays through Sundays, 9AM-1PM, and Thursdays, 10AM-2PM. Guests can pay $65 to play, which includes the green fee and cart.

Following Sept. 25, visitors can also stop by the driving range, tennis and pickleball courts, open daily from 7AM to 6PM. While the driving range requires guests to pay $8 for a small basket of balls and $12 for a large basket, the tennis and pickleball courts are free to use.
