We are officially halfway through July! The Mobile Bay area is staying active with plenty of new openings, along with a closing.

What new places are opening in the Mobile Bay area for July 2026?

The Mobile Bay area is flourishing in new restaurants, parks and more. Here are the recent openings we took a peek at.

The Bay Break

The nostalgic landmark in Fairhope that was formerly Monk Green’s recently reopened into The Bay Break! This tackle shop features fishing gear, bait, tackle, swim essentials and sun protection to get all your needs for a day on the water.

Valor Park

Located next to the causeway, Valor Park is opening soon after weeks of construction. The 2-acre park will help protect the environment and wildlife, while also featuring 40 parking spots, sidewalks, picnic tables, a viewing deck and a large pavilion.

Valor Park will be an enjoyable scenic stop for kids, adults and all nature-lovers.

Bonus: There is also a cool view of the Battleship!

Anchor Pilates Studio

Anchors Pilates studio is a boutique studio designed to feel both elevated and welcoming. They’ll have small group and private sessions on custom Balanced Body equipment set in the heart of Fairhope within the Portico development.

Crown Hall

An event space in Mobile that has catering and bar service is hosting their ribbon cutting on July 16th. This marks the opening of their new location in Downtown Mobile away from their previous location (853 Dauphin Street, Suite A, Mobile, AL), ready for all the future events.

Wingstop

Midtown Mobile Shopping Center (Virginia Merchant / Mobile Bay Now)

The highly popular fast food chain that serves wings, fries and sides has leased a new spot in the Midtown Mobile Shopping Center at Old Shell Road. While waiting for this new location, stop by the two existing Wingstop places in Mobile on Airport Blvd and Rangeline Rd.

Sugo Italian Steakhouse

Hungry Howie’s

All Hungry Howie’s restaurants in the Mobile area have closed this week. When we called, an automated message announced they were permanently closed.
