Reading time: 5 minutes

Have you seen loaded teas on your TikTok or Instagram recently? We have too! Loaded teas have become a phenomenon in the Southern states like Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Florida — and the Mobile Bay area is no exception. Nutrition shops are popping up around our area, offering teas with vitamins, caffeine and more.
Keep reading to learn what loaded teas actually are — and where you can get one near you.
What is a loaded tea?

A loaded tea is a water-based energy drink made with Herbalife supplements, vitamins, and natural caffeine sources like tea and guarana. The water-based drinks are filled with a blend of vitamins, minerals, and energy-boosting supplements. The vibrant drinks include products from Herbalife, a nutrition company that’s been around for more than 45 years. Herbalife has 11 nutrition clubs throughout Baldwin County providing teas that usually advertise weight loss, focus and not having the jittery feeling that come from alternative drinks.
The drink is easily customizable, making it appealing to lots of flavor palettes. Also, there are a variety of “add-ons” like protein and collagen to make the drink fit into your health goals.
Highway 225 shared that their store offers caffeine, whey protein, 24 vitamins, aloe for digestion, biotin, collagen, BCAAs, vitamin C, zinc, probiotics and immunity support options for their tasty drinks.
Where to get a loaded tea in the Mobile Bay area?
There are many local, independent spaces run by Herbalife distributors to provide the Mobile Bay area with these popular refreshers. These distribution locations sell prepared, single-serving items like protein shakes, aloes and colorful specialty “loaded teas,” made using Herbalife nutritional powders and supplements.
Canal Nutrition in Orange Beach

If you need a refreshing, flavorful way to enjoy an energy boost while at the beach, Canal Nutrition is the place. They offer loaded teas, protein specialty drinks with up to 24 grams of protein and beauty drinks that combine collagen and tea.
The loaded teas from this shop are low in calories and contain approximately 160–200 mg of caffeine depending on the recipe, which is about the same amount of two cups of coffee. The tea’s caffeine comes from tea and guarana, which has visitors saying they experience steady energy without the “crash” (individual experiences can vary).
