The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa has once again been recognized during the annual USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice awards.
This time, the famous Point Clear destination made the top three of two lists from USA Today including:
This is the fourth straight year the Grand has made the list for best waterfront hotels in the country and the eighth straight year on the list for best historic hotels. While the resort has been in the top five each time, the No. 2 ranking this year is the highest it’s ever been.

The Grand Hotel recognized for historic beauty
The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa first opened its door with just 40 rooms all the way back in 1847. And over the last 18 decades, it has somehow only improved.
USA Today points to its use as a hospital during the Civil War and for training operations during World War II.
Now, it has expanded across five buildings with more than 400 rooms.
While modernization has occurred to make things more practical and useful for guests, there is still a great sense of history with the hotel’s themes in every room and common area.
