Slurp Society’s final week in downtown Mobile
The owners announced the closure in a social media post, saying they’ll spend the last week serving guests and thanking the community.
“We will be here for one more week serving, cooking, and loving the city that allowed us to dream big for so long.”

Over the years, the space hosted comedy nights, mahjong, birthday parties, anniversaries, trade nights, markets, paint and sips, karaoke and metal and punk shows. The owners also said they’ve watched their two young sons grow up in the restaurant alongside many of their regulars.
Local restaurants can hire Slurp Society employees
The owners said their top priority is making sure every employee has a job lined up before the final day. They’ve started contacting local business owners about front and back of house openings.
Restaurant owners with positions to fill can send Slurp Society a direct message on social media with the details, and the owners will pass them along to staff.
How to say goodbye to Slurp Society
The owners are inviting guests to stop in for one last visit this week. They’re also asking people to share their favorite memories of the restaurant in the comments of the announcement post.
