Public pools in Mobile reopened after updates: Locations + hours

All four public pools operated by the Mobile Parks and Recreation Department (MPRD) are officially upgraded and renovated.
To give residents extra time to enjoy the refreshed facilities before the school year gets into full swing, the City of Mobile is extending its aquatic season into September.
Upgrades across all 4 Mobile Parks and Recreation pools
Renovations took place across four MPRD pool locations:
- Dotch Community Center Pool — 3100 Bank Ave, Mobile, AL 36617
- Hillsdale Park Pool — 6024 Lorma Rd, Mobile, AL 36608
- Figures Park Pool — 658 Donald St C, Mobile, AL 36617
- Kidd Park Pool — 800 East St, Mobile, AL 36610
The upgrades included:
- Removal of existing plaster
- Placing new waterline + entry-level tiles
- Applying smooth plaster across the pool basins
- New pump houses
- Updated filtration equipment + mechanical systems
At the Dotch Community Center pool, crew members repaired and reactivated the splash zone, a water feature that had been out of operation for 10 years.
Mobile pool hours + Labor Day schedule extensions
Due to the late-summer finish of the renovation project, MPRD extended pool access through Labor Day weekend.
- Regular hours:
- Monday-Saturday 10AM to 6PM
- Labor Day extension:
- Two pools will open every Saturday through Labor Day weekend to accommodate end-of-summer visitors.
