Nino’s Pizza in Mobile named Alabama’s top pizzeria by DoorDash

A Mobile pizzeria is getting national recognition this National Pizza Month. DoorDash named Nino’s Pizza & Italian Restaurant to its 2026 Top Pizza Spots list, a roundup of standout small and medium-sized pizzerias across the country.

Nino’s is the only Alabama restaurant on the list, which features 40 pizza spots across the U.S.

How Nino’s made DoorDash’s top pizza spots list

To qualify, restaurants had to have fewer than 10 locations and at least 1,000 reviews on DoorDash. DoorDash then ranked them by average customer rating from September 2025 through September 2026.

DoorDash said the list celebrates the neighborhood spots that keep customers coming back.

Nino’s pizza menu: classic, meat, veggie and specialty pies

Pizza is the star at Nino’s, and the menu goes well beyond cheese. Most pies come in medium 14-inch, large 16-inch and XL 18-inch sizes.

The Original Cheese Pizza is a customer favorite, with mozzarella melted over tangy tomato sauce. It earns about a 94% positive rating on DoorDash among hundreds of order reviews.

• Meat pies: Pepperoni Lovers, Meat Lovers + the Stuffed Meat Pizza, which layers pepperoni, ham, sausage + beef under a second pizza crust seasoned with garlic butter sauce

DoorDash customers placed nearly 30 million pizza orders in 2025.

Pepperoni was the most-ordered topping, followed by onion and sausage. White pizza was the most-ordered style, with more than 3 million orders, and Americans ordered pineapple more often than olives, bacon, chicken or ham. Nino’s menu covers both with its NY White and Hawaiian pies.
