For Kimberly Kringel, the drive to volunteer began at an early age. Her parents modeled the benefits of giving back and serving others, and it’s a pillar of who she is todayβ€”at home and on the job.

When she’s not serving as a branch manager for Regions Bank‘s Pinebrook and Dauphin Street locations, you might find her doing anything from collecting baby blankets for infants in need to running the New York City marathon for charity.

Some of this important volunteer work even happens on the job, and that’s thanks to an employer who sees the value in giving back just as much as Kimberly does.

Read on to see how this Mobile Bay Area woman shows up and shows love for her community, all with support from kind coworkers, fellow citizens and an employer who cares.

The Extra Mile - The Gift of Life

Mobile’s Port City Pacers is an organization near and dear to Kimberly. More than just a traditional run club, they not only promote the benefits of running, but of participation in charity runs. And that’s where Kimberly plays a big role: She’s a board member and course marshal for the Pacers. She also counts several of their races among the 8 she runs each year.

“Between race-day responsibilities, event planning, preparation and board meetings, I dedicate more than 100 volunteer hours annually to supporting the organization and promoting health, fitness and community engagement throughout the Mobile area.”

She not only participates in many Mobile Bay races, but has completed the New York City marathon twice, both times to support Team for Kids.

You’ll also find her back in Mobile working with orgs like L’Arche Mobile, now known as First Light Community of Mobile, and the Blanket for Babies program at USA Health Children’s and Women’s Hospital.

It’s her love of the Mobile Bay Area that also drives her giving nature:

“What I love most about living and working in Mobile is the lifestyle. Being close to the beach, the Gulf Coast casinos and New Orleans gives me plenty of options for fun and relaxation. I also love being outdoors, and as an avid runner and swimmer, I’m always finding ways to stay active and enjoy everything the area has to offer.”

All of these good deeds put Kimberly among the top volunteers of Regions Bank’s Mobile Bay employees, and she knows she couldn’t do it without her coworkers’β€”or the company’sβ€”support.

“Regions Bank does a wonderful job supporting associates who are passionate about giving back to their communities. I especially appreciate the volunteer day benefit, which allows us to dedicate time to causes and missions that are meaningful to us.”

Kimberly Kringel, Regions Bank Branch Manager

Kimberly is talking about the bank’s commitment to giving back in its communities, and part of that is its commitment to ensuring employees are connected with volunteer opportunities and the resources to do so.

The Extra Mile - The Gift of Life

During the bank’s annual Evergreen Week, associates are encouraged to volunteer as a team, as well as throughout the year. For the 2026 celebration, nearly 400 Regions employees statewide came together to better their communities, build stronger teams and take a moment to celebrate how they are stronger together.

True to Kimberly’s giving spirit, she recently wanted to thank her team for the ways they’ve shown up for her and the Mobile community. Breakfast for the team was on her.

In addition to being a caring, service-driven place to work, including a paid day off to volunteer, Regions is connecting its associates to opportunities to give back and make a differenceβ€”during Evergreen Week and all year long.
