The Alabama State Council on the Arts has awarded $527,100 to 23 local arts and cultural organizations in Mobile and Baldwin County for the 2026-27 fiscal year.
That money will help pay for everything from after-school art classes and kids’ choirs to opera, ballet and local festivals.
Overall, the Council awarded $3.9 million to 201 educational institutions and organizations statewide.
“These investments help ensure that everyone in our state has access to the transformative power of the arts. We encourage people to explore upcoming events and artistic programs in their communities and experience firsthand how state investments enhance the quality of life in Alabama.”
