Join us for the Underground Railroad Bike Tour on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in Mobile, Alabama, for a powerful journey through history on two wheels. Sponsored by the Dora Franklin Finley African American Heritage Trail, this 11-mile guided experience will take riders along historic routes connected to the Underground Railroad and the rich legacy of African American resilience in Mobile.

Cost is $25, and participants will explore significant landmarks, hear compelling stories of courage and resistance, and engage with the community in a meaningful way. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, cyclist, or supporter of cultural preservation, this ride offers a unique opportunity to connect the past to the present—one mile at a time.

The ride will begin at the Isom Clemons Civil Rights Memorial Park near the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave and Congress St, and end at the Historical Avenue Cultural Center (564 Dr. MLK Jr Dr). After the bike tour, on the grounds of the Historical Avenue Cultural Center, participants and those accompanying them will enjoy free food and drinks, live music, vendors, and the opportunity to tour the Historic Avenue Cultural Center.
