Grand Bay Watermelon Festival

It’s all about family, music, and of course watermelons, with the help of our sponsors and farmers, to bring it all to lower Alabama on July 3^rd and 4^th each year.  Not only our hometown folks, but a lot of people from all over the country come to enjoy our Festival and delicious Grand Bay watermelons.  2026 will be our 52nd Annual Grand Bay Watermelon Festival, and we anticipate approximately 5,000 or more visitors.   July 3^rd is our ‘preview day’, we will be open from 3-7 pm with free parking, arts & craft vendors, food vendors, on-stage entertainment, and kids rides.  July 4^th, our big day, we will open at 9:30 am and close at 5 pm, $5 per vehicle parking, and in addition to what we have on July 3^rd, the 4^th will include introduction of the Festival Queens and Pretty Baby Contest winners, a Car Show, more children’s rides/bounce houses/water slides, games for kids and adults, and all the free-sliced-ice cold watermelon you can eat. There will also have a spectacular fireworks display at dusk on July 4^th!  If you leave the Festival and come back for the Fireworks just show your Festival Program at the gate for free admission back into the park.  Otherwise, the entrance for the fireworks is $5.
