Daphne’s CR-13 roundabout opens: What you need to know
Reading time: 2 minutes

The County Road 13 and Milton Jones Road roundabout in Daphne is finished and open for thru traffic just in time for the new school year to kick off.
County Road 13 roundabout construction timeline
The project first closed the intersection back on May 4, part of a months-long effort to extend Milton Jones Road and connect Pollard Road to State Highway 181. That closure ran through the end of August, giving crews the runway they needed to build out the new roundabout.
The project is a partnership between the City of Daphne and the Baldwin County Commission, and city leaders say it came together on time and within budget.
“We appreciate the collaboration between the City of Daphne and the Baldwin County Commission to get this project done on time and within budget. Thank you to everyone for your hard work and to our community for your patience, as we continue to improve our infrastructure.”
Daphne Mayor Robin LeJeune
What the Milton Jones Road extension means for Daphne traffic
The extension adds a much-needed east/west corridor for the area, giving drivers another way to move between Pollard Road and Highway 181 without funneling everyone onto the same handful of roads. For anyone who’s sat through Baldwin County’s growing traffic, that’s a welcome upgrade.
When will Milton Jones Road to Friendship Road open?
The roundabout may be open, but the project isn’t fully wrapped up.
The city says the western connection from Milton Jones Road to Friendship Road should open within the next couple of weeks, extending the corridor even further.
