BJ’s Foley is coming soon: Details on opening, Gas-O-Palooza + deals

South Baldwin County’s first wholesale club is getting closer to its debut. BJ’s Wholesale Club hasn’t announced a firm opening date for its Foley location yet, but membership sign-ups are already open ahead of the doors opening this fall.

Here’s everything we know ahead of its fall 2026 opening.

The 106,370-square-foot store is under construction at the corner of South Juniper Street and Palm Beach Way, just off McKenzie St and behind Texas Roadhouse and Culver’s.

In the meantime, BJ’s has set up a temporary membership center at Tanger Outlets, 2601 S McKenzie St, Ste 116, where shoppers can sign up and learn more ahead of the grand opening.

It’ll be the retailer’s second Alabama location, following its Madison-area club that opened in 2023, and the first wholesale club to land in South Baldwin.

Construction broke ground in December 2025, with Foley Mayor Ralph Hellmich calling it a long time coming.

“This will be the first wholesale club in South Baldwin, and it means our citizens won’t have to leave Foley for this type of shopping.”

BJ’s gas station in Foley opens before the store

BJ’s is planning to open its fuel station ahead of the store itself, kicking things off with a “Gas-O-Palooza” event, according to folks at the membership center. Members will be notified when it’s open, and the event will have “the cheapest gas in town.”

The store is expected to open two to three days later.

BJ’s founding membership deal in Foley

Shoppers can lock in a discounted rate before the club even opens. Through Sept. 24, 2026, new members can sign up online or at the Foley membership center for:

• BJ’s Club+ membership: $80/year (reg. $120)
• BJ’s Club membership: $40/year (reg. $60)

Both come with BJ’s Easy Renewal, and new members earn a $15 reward for every $100+ spent in the first 90 days for Club+ members, or a $10 reward for Club members.

What to expect when the Foley BJ’s opens

When the doors do open, expect the usual wholesale club lineup: groceries, household goods, electronics, tires, automotive services and a fueling station.
