DESCRIPTION:About this event\n\n\n\nOrganized by: \n\n\n\nAfricatown Community Development Corporation (https://www.africatowncdc.com/) \n\n\n\nBenefits: \n\n\n\nACDC community programs \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nPacket pick-up and race day registration will take place at the former Farmers Market located 645 Shelby Street\, Mobile\, AL 36610 (close to intersection of Shelby Street and Tin Top Lane). \n\n\n\nDistance: \n\n\n\nThe out and back 5K course will take participants from Tin Top Lane\, over the Africatown Bridge and back. The 1 Mile course will take participants from Tin Top Lane and to the foot of the Africatown Bridge and back to Tin Top Lane. \n\n\n\nRegistration: \n\n\n\nRegister by mail (entries should be postmarked by June 1\, 2024)\, in person at McCoy Outdoor\, Run-N-Tri\, or Fleet Feet in Mobile until noon on June 6\, or online until 4 AM\, June 7 . Race day registration and packet pick-up will be available from 6:00 – 7:25 AM at the former Farmers Market on Shelby St. \n\n\n\nEntry fees: \n\n\n\nRace fees include a race shirt and post-race celebration. \n\n\n\nAwards: \n\n\n\n5K: Top male and female\, and top three male and female in age groups: 9 and under\, 10-14\, 15-19\, 20-24\, 25-29\, 30-34\, 35-39\, 40-44\, 45-49\, 50-54\, 55-59\, 60-64\, 65-69\, 70-74\, 75+ \n\n\n\nFun Run: Finishers’ ribbons \n\n\n\nShirts: \n\n\n\nTo guarantee a shirt on race day\, your application must be received by June 1. \n\n\n\nPost-Race Party: \n\n\n\nAwards\, music\, and food at the celebration at the Farmers Market. \n\n\n\nWeather Disclaimer: \n\n\n\nThe Africatown Bridge Challenge will take place rain or shine.
