He is also the author of A Beat Beyond: The Selected Prose of Major Jackson edited by Amor Kohli. A recipient of fellowships from the Academy of American Poets\, John S. Guggenheim Foundation\, National Endowment for the Arts\, and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study\, Major Jackson is the Gertrude Conaway Vanderbilt Chair in the Humanities at Vanderbilt University. He is an elected member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He serves as the Poetry Editor of The Harvard Review. \n\n\n\nDidi Jackson is the author of the poetry collections My Infinity (2024) and Moon Jar (2020). Her poems have appeared in American Poetry Review\, Bomb\, The New Yorker\, and Oxford American among other journals and magazines. She is the recipient of the Robert H. Open to runners and walkers alike\, this event promises family fun with free kids’ activities\, food trucks\, vendors\, and music. \n\n\n\nProceeds will support the Mobile Airport Authority Foundation\, which promotes charitable\, educational\, and scientific initiatives in the local community. \n\n\n\nParticipants who pre-register by September 27 are guaranteed a t-shirt on race day\, while late registrants will receive shirts as supplies last. \n\n\n\nAwards will be given to the top male and female overall\, masters\, grandmasters\, and senior grandmasters. The top three in each age group will also be recognized: 9 and under\, 10-14\, 15-19\, and continuing in five-year increments up to 75-99. \n\n\n\nAll fun run finishers will receive a ribbon. \n\n\n\nPacket pickup is available on Friday\, October 4\, at Fleet Foot (Mobile location) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.\, or on race day between 7 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. \n\n\n\nJogging strollers are welcome but should start behind the runners to avoid congestion. Children riding in strollers can participate for free unless they want a t-shirt\, which requires registration.
