SUMMARY:2026 MudBottom Revival Music Festival
DESCRIPTION:The 11th Annual MudBottom Revival Music Festival is an outdoor concert hosted on Dog River to raise money for Dog River Clearwater Revival!\n\n\nDog River Clearwater Revival (DRCR) is proud to host the 11th Annual MudBottom Revival Music Festival – a fun afternoon created to raise awareness and funds for DRCR’s ongoing Dog River improvement projects. \nThis year\, the event is set for Sunday\, April 19th at the end of Riviere Du Chien Rd on BENDER POINT ( 3619 Riviere Du Chien Road) from 2PM to 6PM (with general admission gates opening at 1:30 PM\, VIP Sponsor Check-in opens at 1PM). \n\nOpening the show is Mobile native Camm Lewis\, an up-and-coming local singer-songwriter who loves life on the river and enjoys the outdoors with his family and friends!\nThen we will have The New Cahoots\, an acoustic/electric trio based in Pensacola\, Florida. They blend folk\, bluegrass\, and Americana\, delivering both original music and covers. Get ready for their high-energy\, eclectic sounds!\nFinally\, our headliner is internationally renowned\, Willie Watson. For over two decades\, Willie Watson has made modern folk music rooted in older traditions. He’s a folksinger in the classic sense: a singer\, storyteller\, and traveler\, with a catalog of songs that bridge the gap between the past and present. From his early days as a founding member of the Old Crow Medicine Show to his current work as a solo artist\, he is a celebrated musician with a rich vocal range and a highly skilled multi-instrumentalist.\n\nAttendees of this family-friendly fundraising event are invited to bring coolers\, picnic blankets and chairs to enjoy an afternoon of live music under a shaded oak-covered spot on the banks of beautiful Dog River. There will be food\, MudBottom t-shirts and swag available for purchase! \n\nThis is a BYOB event!\nNo tents or sun umbrellas please.\nNo pets are allowed.\nChildren are welcome and tickets are free for 12 years and under.\n\nPurchase a ticket BEFORE April 19th and come by vehicle\, bike\, kayak\, canoe\, stand up paddle board\, or boat and enjoy the music from the peninsula! We will have boat taxis to transport ticket holders from their anchored parking spots to the dock. Pack your own coolers\, blankets\, and chairs. Bathrooms will be on the premises. \nWe encourage everyone to carpool\, as parking can be tight! If you choose to arrive by vehicle you will be shuttled from the parking area down the street to the festival grounds via golf cart\, so please pack lightly and be prepared to take what you need from your vehicle in 1 trip. And please plan your day accordingly. \nTICKET PRICES WILL INCREASE THE WEEK BEFORE THE FESTIVAL: \n$35 for Tickets through April 12th; it will then increase to $45 from April 13th until the day of the festival (or until tickets sell out – which they usually do!) \n \nSPONSORSHIPS are still available for this spring fundraising event! \nEvery dollar raised supports Dog River Clearwater Revival’s mission to protect the environmental health of Dog River for generations to come. \nSponsorship benefits for ALL levels include: \n\nFestival tickets\nEarly entry & VIP check-in\nAccess to VIP area with food & beverages\nT-shirts\nCustom swag bag\nSponsor name or logo recognition on event signage\, social media\, and in festival announcements.\n\n$1\,000+ level sponsors will also have their name printed on the 2026 MudBottom t-shirts\, featuring custom artwork from Rabbit Fish Studio! \nYou can sponsor online by clicking here: SPONSORSHIP FORM \nOR simply e-mail: info@dogriver.org for more information on sponsor levels\, perks\, and applications! \nAll proceeds generated by your support will help DRCR in our programs aimed at fulfilling our mission to protect the environmental health of Dog River. \nDog River Clearwater Revival is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and your donations are tax-deductible! SUMMARY:Chamber Music Concert- Harp\, Horn & Strings
DESCRIPTION:If you love beautiful instrumental music\, you won’t want to miss this rare opportunity to hear some of the greatest masterpieces from the Classical and Romantic eras performed on the harp\, horn\, organ and string quintet! This program will be presented as part of the concert series at St. James Episcopal Church in Fairhope.Josiah Bullach\, assistant principal horn of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra will be featured in the Mozart Horn Quintet\, along with other principal players of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. The Mozart quintet is not often heard in chamber concerts on the Gulf Coast\, but it is a popular\, virtuosic showpiece for the horn and epitomizes the best of Classical Era music. It is joyful\, lively\, elegant\, playful\, at times\, serene and always delightful!Another featured piece that few people have ever had the chance to hear live\, will be the Glière Harp Concerto. The Glière Concerto is one of the greatest masterpieces ever written for the harp and is marked by sweeping lyricism and deep expressiveness\, drawing on the traditions of Russian Romanticism reminiscent of Rachmaninoff. Rebekah Atkinson\, harpist\, will be the soloist and will be accompanied by the horn and strings for a powerful and passionate presentation.Additional pieces will include a cello showpiece by Saint-Saëns\, his rousing Allegro Appassionato\, Op. 43 and the ethereal\, intensely introspective “Sospiri” by Elgar for strings\, organ and harp. The event is free but donations are cheerfully accepted.
