DESCRIPTION:Join in for the 9th Annual Bloody Mary 5K Run/Competitive Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday\, August 31\, at Tacky Jacks in Gulf Shores\, AL. \n\n\n\nThe 5K Run/Walk takes place on flat\, fast city and neighborhood streets\, making it the perfect event to set a personal record or simply enjoy a fun race over Labor Day weekend. The race kicks off just one block west of Tacky Jacks\, right in front of Acme Oyster Bar. \n\n\n\nThe first 300 runners and walkers will receive a custom Bloody Mary sublimated T-shirt. Everyone else will still get a shirt\, though sizes are not guaranteed beyond the first 300 participants. \n\n\n\nIn celebration of the start of football season\, the traditional Team Spirit Awards will be held. Wear your favorite school colors to be eligible for individual prizes! All events begin at 7:30 AM. \n\n\n\nEvent details and schedule: \n\n\n\n\nEarly packet pickup is available on Friday\, August 30\, at Tacky Jacks in Gulf Shores from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM\, and again on race day\, Saturday\, August 31\, from 6:00 AM to 7:10 AM.\n\n\n\n\nGreat age group awards will be given for the 5K Run and Competitive Walk. DESCRIPTION:An Interactive Murder Mystery Scavenger Hunt and Cocktail Experience! Detective Crockett’s partner\, Sinks\, was found in his hotel room\, where he apparently succumbed to a popular “vice” in 1980’s Miami… or was it foul play? Sinks was investigating a popular Miami night club the night he died. The cartel responsible is holding a secret meeting at one of their night clubs\, The Babylon\, to discuss how to cover the murder up. There are 4 people who were last seen with Sinks at the club the night before; Cartel kingpin and club owner Starface\, the club manager\, Buggs Moran\, one of the club’s regulars and heiress to the Holiday Inn fortune\, London Holiday\, and a pilot who is known to fly around with more than just people\, Emilia NoHart\,. These 4 are meeting with other members of this exclusive club to share what they know and how they plan on dealing with it before the cops start swarming the place. It will be your job to infiltrate the cartel meeting and try to catch the killer who did this terrible deed. Lucky for you\, one of their own has turned on them and has provided the secret code you will need to infiltrate their secret meeting. In order to protect their identity\, the informant has hidden these codes in various locations\, and you will need to solve riddles in order to find the code to get you into the meeting later that night. Just be careful\, because if your cover is blown\, you might have to “Say hello to their little friend!” You will be working together as a group to solve the riddles and the murder as well. Groups of up to 15 people are allowed\, if you bring more they will need to be split into multiple groups. If you do not have 15 people\, we will group you with some others to help you. If your group wins\, all of you win a prize! A great opportunity to have fun with your friends while making new ones! Don’t worry\, though\, if you can’t figure out a riddle\, HQ will be on hand to support you and offer you hints if your team gets stuck. However\, this comes at a cost\, you’ll have a point marked against your team for each time you have to phone HQ. At the end of the night\, the team that solves the murder with the fewest points deducted from their score will win a prize! You Will Be Served 3 Complimentary Cocktails Throughout the Evening: Cocktail 1: Your HIGHness: Rum\, Peach Schnapps\, Cranberry Juice\, Orange Juice Cocktail 2: Kingpin: Blue Carousel\, Vodka\, Lemonade Cocktail 3: The Powder Princess: Vodka\, Bailey’s\, Half & Half A cash bar will also be available if you wish to continue drinking beyond that point.
