The Fun Run covers approximately ½ mile. \n\n\n\nPacket Pick-up and Late Registration: \n\n\n\nParticipants can pick up packets and register late on Friday\, September 8\, from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the PCP office located at 358 Morgan Ave. Packet pick-up and race day registration will also be available at the Sea Lab on race day from 6:45 AM to 7:50 AM. \n\n\n\nAwards: \n\n\n\n5K: Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers\, as well as the top male and female in the Masters\, Grandmasters\, Senior Grandmasters\, Race Walkers\, and Wheelchair categories. Additional awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age groups: 9 and under\, 10-14\, 15-19\, 20-24\, 25-29\, 30-34\, 35-39\, 40-44\, 45-49\, 50-54\, 55-59\, 60-64\, 65-69\, 70-74\, 75-79\, and 80-99. \n\n\n\nFun Run: Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall boys and girls\, as well as the top 3 boys and girls in the following age groups: 6 & under\, 7-9\, and 10-12. \n\n\n\nTechnical Tee Shirts: \n\n\n\nRace participants will receive short-sleeved moisture-management tee shirts\, available in men’s and women’s sizes. The race kicks off just one block west of Tacky Jacks\, right in front of Acme Oyster Bar. \n\n\n\nThe first 300 runners and walkers will receive a custom Bloody Mary sublimated T-shirt. Everyone else will still get a shirt\, though sizes are not guaranteed beyond the first 300 participants. \n\n\n\nIn celebration of the start of football season\, the traditional Team Spirit Awards will be held. Wear your favorite school colors to be eligible for individual prizes! DESCRIPTION:Many of the country’s top turkey callers are eagerly awaiting the chance to show off their talents at the Mobile Convention Center June 7-8. The World Championship Turkey Calling Contest has long-time ties to the city of Mobile. The inaugural event was held in Mobile in 1940 at the Battle House Hotel when Mr. Fred T. Stimpson\, the current mayor’s grandfather\, took home top honors.Former world champions will judge the competition.  Male and female competitors will be given a turkey-calling situation to replicate using air and friction calls.
