DESCRIPTION:The community is invited to support a toy drive benefiting children at USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital and the Child Advocacy Center in Mobile\, AL. Donations of new\, unwrapped toys or distraction items such as coloring books\, puzzles\, and craft kits for children from infancy to 18 years are welcome. Contributions can be brought to the race for collection. \n\n\n\nLocation:The event begins and ends in the heart of Bayou la Batre\, near the intersection of Shell Belt Road and Alabama’s Coastal Connection. \n\n\n\nDistance:Participants can choose from a USATF-certified half marathon course (AL22056JE) or a 4-mile course (AL22052JE). \n\n\n\nRegistration:Pre-registration is available: \n\n\n\n\nBy mail (postmarked by December 9)\n\n\n\nIn person at McCoy Outdoor\, Run-N-Tri\, or Fleet Feet in Mobile until noon on December 5\n\n\n\nOnline until 6 a.m. on December 6\n\n\n\n\nEarly packet pick-up and registration will take place on Friday\, December 6\, from noon to 5:30 p.m. at the PCP office (358 Morgan Ave\, Mobile\, AL 36606).Race day registration and packet pick-up will occur from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. at the race site. The Jaguar Marching Band is currently 250 members strong and performs at a wide variety of events on South Alabama’s campus\, as well as throughout the Mobile community and the Gulf Coast.  Membership is by audition and students are provided with university owned instruments\, custom rehearsal space\, a dedicated practice field with lighting\, as well as a comprehensive faculty and staff.  The JMB is continually evolving and growing along with Jaguar Football and the band has gained a reputation for excellence in their musicianship and marching.  The band is under the direction of Dr. Robert Abend\, Associate Director of Bands/Director of the Jaguar Marching Band; Dr. Will Petersen\, Director of Bands; and Dr. Clayton Maddox\, Assistant Director of Bands.

SUMMARY:CARIBBEAN CARNIVAL FITNESS
DESCRIPTION:The Caribbean Carnival Fitness Class will take place on Saturday\, March 22\, 2025\, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the James M. Seals\, Jr. Community Center. This high-energy workout blends carnival vibes with an invigorating fitness session\, incorporating dance-based movements inspired by Soca\, Reggae\, Afrobeat\, and other Caribbean rhythms.
