SUMMARY:Bayou Half Marathon and 4 Miler
DESCRIPTION:The community is invited to support a toy drive benefiting children at USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital and the Child Advocacy Center in Mobile\, AL. Donations of new\, unwrapped toys or distraction items such as coloring books\, puzzles\, and craft kits for children from infancy to 18 years are welcome. Contributions can be brought to the race for collection. \n\n\n\nLocation:The event begins and ends in the heart of Bayou la Batre\, near the intersection of Shell Belt Road and Alabama’s Coastal Connection. \n\n\n\nDistance:Participants can choose from a USATF-certified half marathon course (AL22056JE) or a 4-mile course (AL22052JE). \n\n\n\nRegistration:Pre-registration is available: \n\n\n\n\nBy mail (postmarked by December 9)\n\n\n\nIn person at McCoy Outdoor\, Run-N-Tri\, or Fleet Feet in Mobile until noon on December 5\n\n\n\nOnline until 6 a.m. on December 6\n\n\n\n\nEarly packet pick-up and registration will take place on Friday\, December 6\, from noon to 5:30 p.m. at the PCP office (358 Morgan Ave\, Mobile\, AL 36606).Race day registration and packet pick-up will occur from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. at the race site. Race day fees will increase\, so early registration is encouraged. \n\n\n\nAwards:Half Marathon \n\n\n\n\nTop 3 male and female Overall\n\n\n\nTop male and female Masters\, Grandmasters\, Senior Grandmasters\, and race walkers\n\n\n\nTop 3 male and female finishers in 5-year age groups\n\n\n\nFinishers’ medals for all Half Marathon participants\n\n\n\n\n4-Miler \n\n\n\n\nTop male and female Overall\, Masters\, Grandmasters\, Senior Grandmasters\, and race walkers\n\n\n\nTop 2 male and female finishers in 5-year age groups\n\n\n\n\nShirts:Participants who pre-register by November 23\, 2024\, are guaranteed a long-sleeved race shirt. \n\n\n\nPost-Race Party:Racers can enjoy food and beverages after the event. \n\n\n\nCourse Restrictions:Participants must complete the half marathon or 4-mile course within three hours due to police restrictions. After this time\, police protection and race officials will no longer be present on the course.

DESCRIPTION:Location: \n\n\n\nBaldwin Square\, Old Highway 43 (Orange Ave)\, Satsuma\, AL 36572 Distances:5K course through the neighborhoods of Satsuma and 1 Mile Fun Run. \n\n\n\nRegistration: \n\n\n\nRegister by mail (entries should be postmarked by December 2)\, in person at First Baptist Church of Satsuma\, McCoy Outdoor\, Run-N-Tri\, or Fleet Feet in Mobile until noon on December 12\, or online at Events.com until 8 AM December 13. \n\n\n\nRace day registration and packet pick-up at Baldwin Square from 7:00 – 7:50 AM. \n\n\n\nEntry fees: \n\n\n\nEntry fees include a race shirt. To guarantee a shirt on race day\, participants must register by December 6. \n\n\n\nRace fees will increase by $5 on 11/2/2024 and again by $5 on race morning. \n\n\n\nNo Shirt Option: subtract $3 from entry fee. \n\n\n\n5K participants may run the Fun Run at no additional cost. \n\n\n\nAwards: \n\n\n\nTop male and female Overall and top three male and female in age groups: 9 and under\, 10-14\, 15-19\, 20-24\, 25-29\, 30-34\, 35-39\, 40-44\, 45-49\, 50-54\, 55-59\, 60-64\, 65-69\, 70-74\, and 75-99. \n\n\n\nPost-Race: \n\n\n\nSnacks and beverages will be provided after the race.   \n\n\n\nRumor has it that there will be SNOW!
