Known as the Greatest LEGO® Fan Event on Earth\, BRICK CONVENTION brings together all the creative\, hands-on\, and minds-on fun of LEGO® building into one activity- and entertainment-packed family event\, perfect for children of all ages and builders of all skills and interests. \n\n\n\nA portion of the proceeds from each Brick Convention is donated to Creations for Charity\, a nonprofit organization run entirely by volunteers. Creations for Charity purchases new LEGO sets for underprivileged children around the world during the holiday season. \n\n\n\nDates and Sessions: \n\n\n\nSaturday\, September 7 \n\n\n\nSession I: 10:00 am – 1:00 pmSession II: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pmSunday\, September 8 \n\n\n\nSession I: 10:00 am – 1:00 pmSession II: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pmPlease note that each session offers the same exhibits and activities. SUMMARY:Hurricane Run 5K and Fun Run
DESCRIPTION:Course: \n\n\n\nThis beautifully flat\, certified 5K course (AL13028JD) begins and ends at the Dauphin Island Estuarium on the east end of Dauphin Island\, winding through the island’s residential neighborhoods. The Fun Run covers approximately ½ mile. \n\n\n\nPacket Pick-up and Late Registration: \n\n\n\nParticipants can pick up packets and register late on Friday\, September 8\, from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the PCP office located at 358 Morgan Ave. Packet pick-up and race day registration will also be available at the Sea Lab on race day from 6:45 AM to 7:50 AM. \n\n\n\nAwards: \n\n\n\n5K: Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers\, as well as the top male and female in the Masters\, Grandmasters\, Senior Grandmasters\, Race Walkers\, and Wheelchair categories. Additional awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age groups: 9 and under\, 10-14\, 15-19\, 20-24\, 25-29\, 30-34\, 35-39\, 40-44\, 45-49\, 50-54\, 55-59\, 60-64\, 65-69\, 70-74\, 75-79\, and 80-99. \n\n\n\nFun Run: Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall boys and girls\, as well as the top 3 boys and girls in the following age groups: 6 & under\, 7-9\, and 10-12. \n\n\n\nTechnical Tee Shirts: \n\n\n\nRace participants will receive short-sleeved moisture-management tee shirts\, available in men’s and women’s sizes. Shirts will be available on race day while supplies last. No reorders will be made after the race. \n\n\n\nPost-race: \n\n\n\nRefreshments and awards will be provided following the race.
