DESCRIPTION:This advanced metalsmithing class is designed for students who are already comfortable with basic metalworking techniques and are ready to expand their skills. Participants will learn how to safely use a hand torch and flex shaft while exploring techniques such as creating open-back pendants\, sweat soldering embellishments onto pendants and earrings\, crafting various ring styles\, tube setting\, and experimenting with alternative bail types. \n\n\n\nStudents will be encouraged to apply their knowledge to develop original designs\, receiving guidance and approval from the instructor throughout the process. The workshop fee includes materials such as solder\, saw blades\, 3M polishing wheels\, and patinas. \n\n\n\nAll necessary tools will be provided by the instructor. Participants are advised to wear closed-toe shoes and tie back long hair. While not required\, Optivisors can be helpful. All others will receive a participation certificate. \n\n\n\nThe Kids Zone on N. Claiborne Street will feature scavenger hunt crafts\, interactive games\, and hands-on activities\, providing a fun-filled experience for young explorers. Meanwhile\, S.
