TOURS OF MOBILE’S MARDI GRAS SHIP: USS McFAUL

The USS McFaul, designated as Mobile’s 2025 Mardi Gras Ship, will be open for public tours from March 1 to March 3, 2025, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. No reservations are required to participate in a tour.

This Arleigh Burke-class multi-mission destroyer, bearing the motto “Courage, Honor, Sacrifice,” is designed for defense and combat across multiple domains, including surface, land, air, underwater, and space operations.

For more than a century, the City of Mobile has hosted a U.S. Navy ship at the Port of Mobile during the peak of Mardi Gras season, allowing sailors to experience the nation’s oldest Mardi Gras celebration.
