South Alabama Indian Music Ensemble Recital

The South Alabama Indian Music Ensemble is set to perform a recital on Sunday, December 15, at 3:30 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. The program will feature classical ragas, semi-classical compositions, and selections from the music of Rabindranath Tagore. Vocal performances will be accompanied by traditional instruments including the harmonium, tabla, tanpura, ghungru, and sarangi.

The ensemble, under the direction of Dr. S. Raj Chaudhury, invites the community to enjoy this showcase of Indian music traditions. Admission to this Department of Music concert is free and open to the public.
