KITE FEST ON DAUPHIN ISLAND

Kite Fest is set to take place at East End Beach on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Emerald Coast Kite Flyers Club and Mississippi/Gulf Coast Quad Line Flyers will showcase a variety of unique and acrobatic kites, beginning at 11 a.m.

Kite competitions will start at noon, with awards presented for:

• Highest-Flying Kite
• Biggest Kite
• Most Unique Kite
• Best Homemade Kite
• Mayor’s Choice Award

The Miss Dauphin Island Young Ladies will be assisting with tie-dye T-shirts for a minimum donation of $20, while Matt Erdman will perform live. Shaved Ice Paradise and La Taqueria Tacos will be on-site offering a selection of food and desserts.

Note: Attendees are asked to avoid newly constructed dunes and plantings in the area.
