COMMUNITY CELEBRATION TO REOPEN CHICKASABOGUE PARK
February 23, 2025 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
The Mobile County Commission is set to reopen Chickasabogue Park on Sunday, February 23, with a community celebration from 2 to 4 p.m.
The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, live music, face painting, food trucks, lawn games, and more at Chickasabogue Park, located at 760 Aldock Road, Eight Mile, AL 36613.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore several new and upgraded amenities, including:
- A redesigned day-use area with ample parking
- A new playground
- A new splashpad
- Improved multiuse courts for basketball, pickleball, and tennis
- A new restroom facility
- A new pavilion
- An upgraded disc golf course
- Enhanced hiking and biking trails
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for comfort. Those interested in exploring Chickasabogue Creek should bring their own kayak or canoe. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from food trucks. The park gates will open at noon. To maintain a family-friendly atmosphere, alcohol is not permitted in Mobile County parks.
